El-Nino conditions to stregthen the remaining Southwest Monsoon season, IMD

India Meteorological Department (IMD) reports that moderate El Nino conditions are present in the equatorial Pacific Ocean, with above-normal sea surface temperature (SST) anomalies in the central and eastern regions. These conditions are expected to strengthen during the Southwest Monsoon season. Forecasts from the Monsoon Mission Coupled Forecast System (MMCFS) support this expectation.
