Bank Credit growth surges to 19% on year

The bank credit growth in India remains strong. As of 31 July 2026, total bank credit from All Scheduled Banks was Rs 225.87 lakh crore, rising about 19% year-on-year, with a fortnightly growth of 1.53%.
