New Executive Directors appointed by RBI

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) appointed Monisha Chakraborty as Executive Director (ED), effective August 3, 2026. Before this promotion, she was Chief General Manager-in-Charge in the Department of Supervision. With over thirty years in the RBI, she has experience in Supervision, Foreign Exchange, and Government and Bank Accounts. She will oversee the Foreign Exchange Department and Financial Markets Regulation Department as ED.
