Tata Motors Ltd Surges 8.09%, BSE Auto index Gains 3.03%

Tata Motors Ltd gained 8.09% today to trade at Rs 435.4. The BSE Auto index is up 3.03% to quote at 59915.47. The index is up 5.55 % over last one month. Among the other constituents of the index, Ashok Leyland Ltd increased 6.56% and Maruti Suzuki India Ltd added 4.37% on the day. The BSE Auto index went up 0.71 % over last one year compared to the 5.74% fall in benchmark SENSEX.

Tata Motors Ltd has added 0.48% over last one month compared to 5.55% gain in BSE Auto index and 7.67% rise in the SENSEX. On the BSE, 1.83 lakh shares were traded in the counter so far compared with average daily volumes of 6.17 lakh shares in the past one month. The stock hit a record high of Rs 508.95 on 27 Feb 2026. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 306 on 14 Nov 2025.
