Gross GST collections rises 23% on year

Gross Goods and Services Tax (GST) collections advanced 23 per cent to surpass Rs 2.31 lakh crore in October, propelled by robust receipts from domestic operations and imports, government data indicates. Gross GST collections from domestic sales increased 16 per cent to surpass Rs 1.59 lakh crore, and revenues from imports ascended 42 per cent to Rs 72,246 crore. Following adjustments for refunds, net GST collections rose 26 per cent to surpass Rs 2.03 lakh crore in October. Throughout April-October, gross GST collection rose 13.2 per cent to surpass Rs 14.77 lakh crore. Net collections rose 13 per cent to surpass Rs 12.69 lakh crore.
